Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
This website, quote.safemoneysinger.com, is run by James Alden, doing business as Safe Money Singer, a licensed insurance agent in California (license #0C53378). This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- You can see your annuity numbers without giving any personal information. The amount and ages you type stay on your own device.
- Jim receives your contact details only when you choose to send a request or a question.
- If Jim sent you a personal link, he can see which parts of it you open and when, so he can follow up. He never sees anything you type unless you send it to him.
- Your information is used to answer you. It is never sold, and it is not shared for advertising.
- You can ask Jim at any time to see, correct or delete what he has about you.
1. Information you choose to send
When you request a report, your top 10 carriers or an insurers report, or send your toughest questions, the form sends Jim:
- your email address, and your name if you give it;
- your state;
- your phone number, only if you give it;
- the amount, age or ages, policy types, term and timing you chose;
- any questions you write;
- the page address you sent it from.
If you give your phone number, you agree that Jim may call or text you about your request. You can tell him to stop at any time, for example by replying STOP to a text.
Ask Jim. If you ask Jim a question in the sample folder, your first name, your state, your messages and, only if you give it, your phone or email are kept in private storage at our hosting provider so Jim can answer you in the same conversation. Your device keeps a private key to that conversation, and you can copy a private link to open it elsewhere; anyone with that link can read it, so please keep it to yourself. If you leave a phone or email and tick the box, Jim may let you know once he has answered. If you become a client, the conversation moves into your private Docs folder.
2. Information that stays on your device
The amount, ages and choices you enter on the Overview are saved in your own browser, so they are still there when you come back. They are not sent to Jim unless you send a request. You can erase them with the Clear My Numbers button or by clearing your browser’s site data.
3. Visit counts
- Advertising visits. If you arrive from an advertisement or a tagged link, the site counts general steps, such as “entered numbers” or “opened a box”, together with the name of the ad. These counts contain no name, email, phone number or numbers you entered.
- Personal links. If Jim sent you a personal link, the site records a short code for you, and the date and time you open his messages, your Docs folder, the documents and notes in it, the sections of your Overview, and the print window. Jim uses this to see what you have looked at and to follow up with you. It does not record the amounts, ages or other entries you type, and it is never shared with insurance companies or anyone else.
The site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
4. Your private documents
If you work with Jim, he may place documents for you, such as illustrations, sample policies and forms, in a private “Your Docs” folder. They are kept in private storage at our hosting provider, can be opened only through your personal link, and are not listed or indexed anywhere. Please don’t forward your personal link to anyone you wouldn’t want to see those documents.
The folder may also hold Jim’s notes to you, including a short summary of what you told our team on your first call, so you can see what Jim knows and correct anything that’s wrong. If you reply to one, your reply and your first name are stored with the notes in the same private storage, and Jim is told that you replied.
5. How your information is used
- to prepare and send what you asked for, and to answer your questions;
- to follow up with you about your request;
- to see which pages and advertisements are helpful, using the anonymous advertising counts described above;
- if you have a personal link, to see what you have opened so Jim can follow up with you;
- to meet legal and insurance-regulatory record-keeping requirements.
6. Who it is shared with
Jim does not sell your personal information, does not share it for advertising, and does not give it to insurance companies, unless, of course, you decide to apply for an annuity from that insurance company. It is shared only:
- with service providers that run the site for us: Netlify, which hosts the site, receives the forms and stores documents; Google Fonts, which supplies the lettering; and Cloudflare’s cdnjs, which supplies the document viewer. Like any website, these providers see your device’s IP address when your browser loads from them;
- when required by law, a regulator or a court order.
7. How long it is kept
Requests and questions are kept as long as needed to help you and to meet insurance record-keeping rules, and are then deleted. Information on your own device stays until you clear it.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- know what personal information Jim has collected about you and how it is used;
- ask for a copy of it;
- ask that it be corrected or deleted, subject to record-keeping rules that apply to insurance;
- be treated equally for using these rights.
Because your information is never sold or shared for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. Residents of other states may ask for the same things, and Jim will honor them as well. To make a request, contact Jim using the details below. He may need to confirm your identity first.
9. Security
The site uses encrypted connections (https), forms are sent directly to our hosting provider, and documents are stored privately. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send Social Security, bank or account numbers through the website.
10. Children
This site is meant for adults planning retirement. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
